Want to give back to the trails in the Snowden Forest and sling some dirt as we realign some trail sections?
Join us for a day of trail work as we put shovels to the ground on Lower Lost Frog and realign some trail sections. The trail realignments are to relocate the trail off of some failing old rail grade fill areas and improve the overall drainage in the area. We will also be replacing a short bridge that has timed out.
We will meet at 9:45 am at 1/2 km on the Snowden Main (go about 3km past Lost Frog parking turnoff, , turn left onto Snowden Main and drive about 1/2 km)and then shuttle folks in on the access road to Lower Lost Frog.
We will then take a short hike into the trail location.
The RCCC will provide the trail tools, trail construction guidance and distanced work areas for the day.
Please come prepared with sturdy footwear, gloves, appropriate clothing for the weather and a great stoke for slinging gold.
We are changing things up a bit and not gathering for pizza and beverages after the trail day but will be providing tasty individual lunches prepared by a local eatery.
Please indicate whether you are “going” at least 24hrs in advance on the FB event.
You must be be capable of safely hiking into the trail location and capable of moving rocks and dirt for 3 - 4 hours with short breaks.
We will have a variety of tasks to do so not everyone will have to move rocks and dirt!

Fill out an online waiver. Confirmation can be forwarded to trails@rivercitycycle.ca or print the confirmation and bring it to the ride.
